Important information (Please read)
North Shore Surgery is currently experiencing a notable rise in patients seeking assistance with weight management. Many of these requests appear to be influenced by the growing interest and information circulating in mainstream and social media about GLP-1 injections, often referred to as “weight loss injections”.
Currently, GPs are unable to prescribe these injections for weight loss. This means that North Shore Surgery cannot provide GLP-1 injections (such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc.) or private prescriptions for any of these medications at this time.
For the list of available services at North Shore Surgery, see below.
Digital weight management service
The NHS Digital Weight Management Programme supports adults living with obesity (BMI>30) who also have a diagnosis of diabetes, hypertension or both, to manage their weight and improve their health.
It is a 12-week online behavioural and lifestyle programme that people can access via a smartphone or computer with internet access.
If you believe you are eligible for this service then you can request a referral via reception.
